Online whisky merchant The Whisky Barrel is celebrating its 10th anniversary by bottling a six-year-old Laphroaig expression.

Laphroaig 6 Year Old 2011 Exclusive Malts 10th Anniversary whisky is the third addition to The Whisky Barrel’s commemorative range. Vintage Sherry hogshead cask number #195 was selected by bottler The Creative Whisky Co to create the whisky, which has been bottled at a cask strength of 58.7% abv. Just 337 bottles will be available, priced £46.19. The whisky will be available exclusively from The Whisky Barrel and will be shipped internationally to countries such as the US, Canada and Japan. The Whisky Barrel’s previous 10th anniversary releases are Irish Cooley 13 Year Old 2003 and Dumbarton 30 Year Old 1987. In August this year, Beam Suntory-owned Laphroaig released its 2017 Cairdeas Scotch whisky, double-matured and finished in quarter casks.
