Beam Suntory has announced plans to bring its Japanese whiskies to the U.S. market beginning next month. New brands include Yamazaki, Hakushu and Hibiki Japanese whisky. From the press release:

NEW YORK (Jiji Press)—Beam Suntory Inc. said Monday it will start distributing Suntory whisky brands in the United States and Germany on July 1.

In both markets, distribution of Suntory whisky brands will transition from the current third-party arrangements to Beam Suntory’s own routes to market, said the U.S. firm known for its Jim Beam bourbon.

This is the first move toward sales network integration since beverage and food giant Suntory Holdings Ltd. completed its acquisition of the U.S. firm, then called Beam Inc., nearly two months ago.

Beam Suntory will now distribute Yamazaki, Hakushu and Hibiki Japanese whisky, Bowmore and Auchentoshan single-malt Scotch whisky and Midori liqueur.
