Smirnoff launches mango and passion fruit vodka

Diageo has expanded its Smirnoff vodka range with the release of a mango and passion fruit variant.

Bottled at 37.5% ABV, Smirnoff Mango & Passionfruit Twist is available from today (3 November) from UK stores Tesco and Booker. The creation of the flavoured vodka is part of the brand’s aim to evolve its flavour portfolio and spearhead growth and innovation. Nick Payman, head of Smirnoff GB, Diageo, said: “We have strong ambitions for our growing flavour range and are excited to be bringing a brand new variant to our customers following the successful launch of Raspberry Crush as well as growing consumer demand.” The liquid is said to be bursting with flavour, and is recommended served as a long drink over ice, mixed with lemonade with fruit garnish. Alternatively, it can be mixed in classic serves, such as a Martini, which would combine the expression with pineapple juice and cranberry juice, or in a Spritz, which would blend the new vodka with lemonade and Prosecco. “Smirnoff never shies away from standing out from the crowd and as we know vodka flavours are growing at a rapid rate, there is huge opportunity to continue expanding and developing our portfolio,” Payman added. The 700ml bottling can be purchased for RRP £16.50 (US$22.48), and will be available in grocery and on-trade outlets from March 2022. The brand recently partnered with Columbian musician Karol G to showcase Latino culture through news projects.
