Sierra Tequila has launched its first ready-to-drink (RTD) expression, a canned Margarita cocktail.The canned expression is based on the Tommy’s Margarita recipe and is made with Tequila, lime and agave syrup. Tina Ingwersen-Matthiesen, member of the board at brand owner Borco, said: “The Sierra Tequila Margarita opens up new ways to experience Sierra Tequila – simple, refreshing and with a fierce Mexican attitude. "It is reminiscent of mild summer evenings that are spent with friends under palm trees.” The design of the can mirrors the Mexican ingredients used to make the Margarita cocktail. The brand's "famous icon", the red sombrero, is incorporated into the design of each can. The canned expression joins the brand's portfolio of products, which includes the Antiguo and ultra-premium Milenario ranges of Tequila. Canned at 4.9% abv, the Sierra Tequila Margarita will be available in selected markets from 1 July. The brand’s Sierra Milenario Tequila Extra Añejo was previously listed in SB's roundup of the best value for money Tequila’s currently on the market.
