Sérum Rum debuts gift sets
Panamanian rum brand Sérum has designed two gift sets with two custom glasses for its Mamie and Gorgas expressions.
Produced from sugarcane from the Herrera Province of Panama, Sérum rums are aged in American oak before blending and bottling. The two new gift sets have been designed for the brand's Mamie infused rum and Gorgas Gran Reserve, aged for a minimum of eight years in ex-Bourbon barrels. Both expressions are offered at 40% ABV. Sérum Mamie is a blend of dark Panamanian rums, cocoa, vanilla and toffee. The sweet rum was inspired by Mamie Kelley’s Ritz, a cabaret bar that opened in Panama City in 1925. The brand's eight-year-old expression, Gorgas, was named after US army surgeon William C Gorgas, who eliminated yellow fever and malaria in the area by getting rid of mosquitoes around the Panama Canal. Michal Kratochvil, founder of Sérum, said: "We created this designer gift set so that rum enthusiasts can enjoy the unmistakable taste of Serum rums in specially designed glasses. We are thrilled that customers love this special packaging so much that the first batch was sold out almost immediately." Sérum was founded in 2018 by the Czech Republic-based Kratochvílovci company and was given a design update in 2020. Since the relaunch, the brand has debuted in several markets, including Austria, the US, Canada, Belgium and Switzerland. In addition to Mamie and Gorgas, Sérum's range includes Ancon 10-year-old rum, Elixir rum-based spirit, Puente Centenario, and two limited edition rums that showcase Panama's tropical nature. Sérum will showcase its rum range at ProWein from 16-18 March 2025 at stand C38 in Hall 7.
