Renais releases bottles designed by Emma Watson
Emma Watson’s gin brand, Renais, has released limited edition bottles with artwork designed by the actor herself.
The Artwork Edition packaging has been designed, painted and inscribed by Watson. The release also comes with stickers of her illustrations. It retails for £60 (US$75) on the Renais website, with limited numbers available. Watson founded the gin with her brother, Alex, earlier this year – promising to bring ‘an elegant taste of the Chablis wine region’ to the UK. The gin is grown in the French region, inspired by the siblings’ trips to their family’s vineyard, Domaine Watson. In addition, the brand will also release two Christmas gift sets. The first features a bottle of Renais gin and a bottle of Domaine Watson’s Chablis, which will be delivered in sustainable mushroom packaging through a partnership with Laithwaites. It can purchased on the Laithwaites website for £80 (US$100). The second is a heritage gift set that includes a bottle from each brand and a corkscrew. It will be available exclusively from the Renais website for £90 (US$113). Renais gin is made with grapes leftover from the vineyard’s winemaking and is said to have notes of fresh citrus, white grape, garden herbs, flowers and juniper. On its launch, The Spirits Business spoke with Alex Watson to learn more about the gin and what it means to the family. Renais continues the trend of celebrities getting into gin.
