Rémy Martin unveils XO Cannes release

by Annie Hayes

Cannes Film Festival's official supplier Rémy Martin has unveiled its annual XO limited edition, Rémy Martin XO Cannes 2017, as the event celebrates its 70th year.

Created from more than 400 aged eaux-de-vies, the liquid is said to offer notes of white flowers, plums, figs, candied oranges, cinnamon and freshly grated hazelnuts. Specially designed for the film festival, the gift box bearing the Fine Champagne Cognac features the bottle design under the spotlight on one side, and mirrors a film poster on the other, recording the cellar masters' names as director and producer. The expression is presented in a star-shaped carafe perched on top of the iconic Cannes steps, and a film reel motif is featured on both the carafe and the outer case. Rémy Martin XO Cannes 2017 has an RRP of £175 per bottle and will be available from Selfridges and Harvey Nichols from May 2017.
