Poetic License launches Tutti Frutti Gin
Small batch gin producer Poetic License has unveiled a tutti frutti-flavoured expression under its Rarities Collection.
Poetic License Tutti Frutti is the seventh bottling from the Rarities Collection and has been launched to coincide with World Gin Day. The expression has a “vibrant nose of tropical fruit”, while on the palate “sweet pineapple arrives immediately on tasting, followed by a tang from juniper and mixed fruits”. Luke Smith, Poetic License distiller, said: “We distilled this gin with hand-peeled, hand-chopped and hand-puréed fresh fruit – it is pretty much a distilled fruit smoothie. “Although fruity and a little sweet, there is no sugar added so it does not become the sickly sweet you know from tutti fruitt candies – though, equally, it is not dissimilar. “This gin is an ode to the traditional Italian ice cream flavour; a fruity treat perfect for summer.” The Rarities Collection is the brand's range of one-off spirits that are produced in small quantities. Each expression is released once and is only available until it sells out. Previous gins in the range have included an Orange Blossom, Cherry and Basil, and Gooseberry and Elderflower expression. Bottled at 42.7% abv, Poetic License Tutti Frutti is available to buy direct from the distillery for £34.95 (US$46.34) per 700ml bottle.
