Pierre Ferrand celebrates founding family with 10 Générations

Maison Ferrand has paid tribute to the founding family of its Pierre Ferrand Cognac brand with the launch of Ferrand 10 Générations.

Ferrand 10 Générations Cognac has been created by Maison Ferrand master blender Alexandre Gabriel and uses grapes grown exclusively on vines in the Agneac region in the heart of Grande Champagne. The Cognac is said to have flavours of “baked pear, honey, muscat grape, pineapple and cloves," as well as aromas of fruity spice cake and raisin. Ferrand 10 Générations is bottled with a bespoke label that depicts the face profiles of the ten generations of the Ferrand family in the roots of a vine. Since 1630, 10 generations of the Ferrand family have passed down their knowledge of the Cognac production process. Maison Ferrand has created 10 Générations as a tribute to their work and the family’s last descendant, Mademoiselle Henriette. Bottled at 46% abv, Ferrand 10 Générations carries an RRP of £35.75 (US$45) per 50cl bottling. Maison Ferrand, which also owns the Plantation Rum brand, extended its rum portfolio with the launch of an expression that “revives” the style of Jamaican pot still rums from the 19th century.
