Papa Salt creates Blood Orange Spritz with Fever-Tree

Australian gin Papa Salt and mixer brand Fever-Tree have teamed up to introduce a blood orange-flavoured ready-to-drink (RTD) Spritz.

The gin-based RTD cocktail offers a twist to the classic Spritz, and combines Fever-Tree's Blood Orange Soda, which is made with Sicilian oranges, and Papa Salt Gin, a coastal gin made with 'zesty' Australian botanicals. Papa Salt Gin was launched in 2023 by Barbie actress Margot Robbie, Tom Ackerley, Josey McNamara, Regan Riskas, and Charlie Maas. Robbie stated: “We made Papa Salt because we wanted an easy-to-drink gin to share with our friends. For us, nothing beats Papa Salt with soda and a generous wedge of blood orange; it’s a simple, delicious combination that never disappoints. "Fever-Tree has always been our go-to mixer, so we are thrilled to be partnering with them on this refreshing Blood Orange Gin Spritz. We hope you have one in hand all summer long." The collaborative Spritz displays bright citrus notes and a herbaceous finish. Offered at 5% ABV, each 250ml can contain 107 calories and 'significantly' less sugar than many other Spritzes. According to the brands, the RTD cocktail is the perfect daytime drink for BBQs, pre-drinks, and festivals. The partnership between Fever-Tree and Papa Salt highlights the growing popularity of Spritzes in the UK, where one-third of adults prefer a Spritz when going out, according to the CGA Mixer Drinks Report 2023. The launch will be supported by a comprehensive summer marketing campaign encompassing PR initiatives, social media content, influencer collaborations, festival activations, and wide-scale sampling opportunities. Roll on those long summer days.” Fever-Tree x Papa Salt Spritz will be launched in Sainsbury's on 31 March and Waitrose on 24 April before being rolled out across other major retailers in the coming months, with an RRP of £2.90 (US$3.80). Papa Salt Coastal Gin made its UK debut in June 2024 at Harvey Nichols, followed by a launch at Tesco in early 2025. Late last year, the brand partnered with Virgin Australia to offer an RTD Paloma on its inflight menu.
