Malfy Gin launches juniper-forward expression

Italian brand Malfy Gin has added a new expression to its range – Malfy Gin Originale, which takes inspiration from the Piedmont region.

The new product joins Malfy Gin Con Limone, a citrus-forward gin distilled with lemons from the Amalfi coast, in the range. Malfy Gin Originale, a juniper-forward gin, is said to pay homage to the Italian Monks who first distilled juniper spirits at their monasteries on the Amalfi coast in the early 11th century. To create the expression, Carlo Vergnano, owner of Torino Distillati, and master distiller Beppe Ronco used wild juniper and spring water from Monte Viso, the highest peak in the Piedmont Region. The Torino Distillati itself is based at the foothills of the mountain. Malfy Gin Originale is priced US$29.99 and will be distributed nationally across the US. The launch of the new expression coincides with the appointment of Infinium Spirits as Malfy Gin’s new US importer. "Malfy Gin with its rich story, delicious liquid and luxurious packaging is now one of the fastest growing super-premium gin brands in the world,” said Elwyn Gladstone, founder of brand owner Biggar & Leith. “The brand has gained distribution and happy consumers in over 50 countries around the world and we are very excited about our new partnership with Infinium Spirits, which we believe will take the brand to the next level in the USA.”
