Beam Suntory is expanding its Koyomi portfolio in Australia with the launch of a full-sized bottle of the Japanese shochu.

Bottled at 25% ABV, Koyomi Shochu will launch in Australia in May. Koyomi Shochu is single-distilled from barley to give a ‘smooth’ spirit with a ‘fragrant, fruity aroma’. The spirit is recommended consumed as a Chu-Hi, a mix of Koyomi Shochu, soda, ice and citrus fruit served in a tall glass. The brand will launch via drinks menus in a selection of leading on-trade venues in Australia, including Kisumé and Boom, Boom in Brisbane, Chin Chin in Melbourne and Hawker Hall in Victoria. The Japanese spirit will also be available from select retailers in June, priced at RRP AU$42 (US$32) to AU$47 (US$36) per 700ml bottle. Koyomi Shochu joins the brand’s range of three ready-to-drink (RTD) Highball cans that launched in 2019 in Australia: Koyomi Yuzu and Lime, Koyomi Blood Orange and Bitters, and Koyomi Mandarin and Grapefruit.
