Gattertop releases No.1 Vodka
English spirits company Gattertop Drinks launched No.1 Vodka on 4 October to celebrate National Vodka Day.
The zero-waste vodka brand is said to combine 'quality, sustainability and tradition in a premium British spirit'. Each of the company's vodkas – No.1 classic, No.7 Botanical and No.12 Damson – serves as a tribute to the orchard. Vodka No.1 delivers a fresh, crisp profile with creamy biscuit and honey notes. The vodka's versatile character makes it perfect for sipping on the rocks or used as the base for classic and contemporary cocktails. The classic vodka embodies Gattertop’s commitment to supporting the British countryside. The British grain vodka is single-estate sourced and uses repurposed steeped damsons from the production of Gattertop’s Damson No.12 and organic windfall apples from the company's orchards. Every bottle of Vodka No.1 aims to ensure that nothing from the orchard is wasted. Herefordshire-based Gattertop Spirits became a B Corp business in September 2024. Gemma Standeven, founder of Gattertop Drinks, said: “Vodka No.1 is more than just a vodka – it’s a reflection of our values. We are thrilled to offer a product that not only meets the highest standards of taste but also prioritises sustainability. As a brand, we believe that premium spirits can and should go hand in hand with environmental responsibility." Available in 700ml and 50ml bottles, Vodka No.1 can be purchased from the Gattertop Drinks website and select retailers nationwide from 8 October. The suggested retail price is £34.99 (US$46). At the 2024 Vodka Masters, all three Gattertop vodkas were recognised with Silver medals in their respective categories.
