Frapin Cognac reveals new-look gift set

Cognac house Frapin has launched a new gift box for its VSOP expression, which features the modern update of its decanter, to appeal to shoppers over the festive season.

The new gift pack contains a decanter that combines “elegance, refinement, roundness”, along with two
tulip glasses. Cognac Frapin VSOP is aged in Limousin oak barrels and is described as having a “refined” nose, which offers aromas of “dried flowers”
and “candied fruits”. On the palate, it has a “delicate harmony of fruity and slightly spicy tones with remarkable length”. Patrice Piveteau, managing director and cellar master, said: “It was important to renew the carafe this year, following the new VIP, to be in line with the range evolution, for such a core product.” The gift pack is available from Laithwaites in the UK at an RRP of £69 (US$93) from October. At the same time, Frapin has introduced a new case for its Extra expression (pictured below), also targeting shoppers over Christmas and New Year. The jewellery box-like case's red and gold design gives it a "warm, elegant and modern" appeal. In April this year, the Cognac house unveiled its new-look VSOP expression, which takes its inspiration from Frapin’s VIP XO decanter, featuring a taller and narrower shape than the original. Frapin is the largest single estate in the Grande Champagne region of Cognac. The Frapin family’s history dates back to 1270 and the estate now owns 240 hectares of premier cru vineyards.
