Eight Lands reveals new look

Speyside-based spirits producer Eight Lands has introduced new packaging to aid its international expansion.

The new brand identity will feature across Eight Lands' two flagship spirits: Organic Speyside Vodka and Organic Speyside Gin. The reimagined look aims to reinforce Eight Lands' positioning as an organic premium spirit focused on 'authenticity and quality' in both the on- and off-trade globally. After claiming to have grown by double digits over the past two years, Eight Lands anticipates the relaunch will result in a 2026 sales forecast that doubles the business's size. Created in collaboration with branding agency Stranger & Stranger, the new packaging is designed to tell more of the brand's story, featuring intricate gold leaf illustrations and motifs inspired by life around Eight Lands' home in Glenrinnes, situated between the River Spey and the Scottish Highlands. Stranger & Stranger commented: "Speyside, the home of Eight Lands, is a place of wild beauty, and the natural flow between the land and its people is pivotal to the production and character of the spirits. "Every design detail celebrates this provenance from the branding panel inspired by the distillery's modern architecture to the label silhouette echoing the proud backdrop of Ben Rinnes." Eight Lands is produced at the Glenrinnes Distillery, founded in 2019 by a father-stepson team, Alasdair Locke and Alex Christou. Christou added: "Our customers have always loved our wildly smooth spirits, and that gave us the confidence to elevate how the story is told visually. By digging into the geography and sense of place of Glenrinnes – its landscape, flora and fauna – we were able to bring the brand story to life more powerfully on the packaging." In the past year, the brand has invested in the UK by appointing a new sales agent and increasing its marketing investment, including the upcoming launch of a series of consumer-focused supper clubs. Internationally, Eight Lands entered the US market with new distribution partners. Additionally, the brand has expanded into the Chinese market, supported a series of polo events in Florida, and implemented bartender engagement programmes in Shanghai and the surrounding cities. Christou continued: "With some incredibly experienced people now working to grow the brand at home and internationally, I am really excited about this new phase of Eight Lands' development."
