Edinburgh Gin revamps Valentine’s-inspired bottle

Edinburgh Gin has updated the packaging of its limited-edition Valentine’s Gin ahead of this year’s romantic holiday.

Edinburgh Valentine’s Gin has been updated to match the rest of the company’s core range of gins and fruit gin liqueurs – which was redesigned last year – and features the Edinburgh Gin logo and imagery to reflect the liquid’s flavour. The pink-tinged expression is made with a range of botanicals, including chamomile, lemon balm, lemongrass, kaffir lime leaves, hibiscus and rose petals. Neil Boyd, UK managing director of Ian Macleod Distillers, which acquired Edinburgh Gin producer Spencerfield Spirit Company in 2016, said: “The design brings the Valentine’s Gin up to date both in terms of Edinburgh Gin’s look and feel while also evolving the design in response to consumer demand and creating stand out on shelf. “This limited-edition product now sits alongside our London Dry gins and fruit gin liqueurs, which means there really is a flavour to suit all tastes and occasions with Edinburgh Gin.” Bottled at 43% abv, only 3,000 bottles of Edinburgh Valentine’s Gin are available to purchase from the Edinburgh Gin distillery shop and online at edinburghgin.com, priced at £35 per 700ml.
