DOuMIX? ditches added sugar for Squeeze mixers

Italian multi-brand group Casa Optima has expanded its DOuMIX? pre-mixed offerings with a range that contains no added sugar.

Casa Optima, known for its gelato, pâtisserie, decor, and beverages, ventured into mixed drinks in 2022 with the launch of its DOuMIX? mixers. The brand has now expanded its offerings with Squeeze, a new line of fruit-based premixes that contain no added sugar, designed to meet the growing demand in the mixology and professional beverage sectors. The No Added Sugar line is crafted with select fruits and processed to maintain their flavour, aromatic profile, and natural characteristics. With a 70% fruit content, the range is said to deliver a smooth, consistent base, making it ideal for contemporary cocktails, such as sour cocktails, fruity shakes, frozen drinks, aromatic long drinks, and non-alcoholic serves. Squeeze comes in six flavours: mango, maracuja (passion fruit), strawberry, blood orange, banana, and sour cherry. The range has been designed to fit modern concept bars, high-volume cocktail venues, and establishments that prioritise a more natural approach to mixology. The launch addresses trends emphasising naturalness, authenticity, and a low-sugar approach, without compromising taste. Cocktail recipe recommendations for the range is now available on the brand's website. The brand also offers a selection of syrups, cordials, fruit elixirs, sauces, and bottled stracciatellas.
