Diageo has launched two limited edition Lagavulin and Caol Ila Scotch whiskies for Fèis Ìle 2017, finished in Moscatel and Amoroso oak casks respectively.
The bottlings, described as “twists” on popular expressions from the Diageo-owned Islay distilleries, will be available exclusively to distillery shoppers during the Islay festival, which will be held from 26 May-3 June. Lagavulin 16 Year Old Fèis Ìle 2017 has been double matured in Moscatel oak casks and bottled at a cask strength of 55.8% abv. Limited to 6,000 bottles, the expression is priced £125. Limited to 1,500 bottles, the expression is priced £99. The whisky will go on sale starting from the Caol Ila Distillery open day on Monday 29 May.
