De Kuyper taps into canned cocktails
Dutch company De Kuyper Royal Distillers has expanded its portfolio of ready-to-drink (RTD) cocktails with 200ml single-serve cans.
Launched ahead of World Cocktail Day on 13 May, the new RTDs debut in three flavours: Passionfruit Martini and Amaretto Sour at 8% ABV, and Espresso Martini at 10% ABV. The range aims to deliver 'bar-quality' cocktails, catering to a demographic of young adults seeking high-quality RTD cocktails with zero effort. The launch of the single-serve cans is said to represent another significant step in De Kuyper's global strategy to lead and expand the cocktail category. The market for spirits-based RTDs and pre-mixed cocktails is experiencing robust growth worldwide, as consumers increasingly seek convenience, precise portion control, and premium brand experiences. While the brand's bottled RTD range was designed for sharing at home, the new single-serve cans cater specifically to a fast-paced outdoor lifestyle. Remco de Feijter, global brand manager of De Kuyper, said: "The launch of our single-serve RTD cans is a natural next step in our global strategy to offer scalable, premium cocktail solutions for every occasion. "We are seeing a strong consumer shift towards convenience, quality consistency, and portion control. By bringing our expertise into the single-serve category, we are ensuring that consumers do not have to compromise on taste when enjoying a cocktail on the go – delivering a top-shelf experience directly from the can." De Kuyper's canned RTDs will be available in the Netherlands from mid-April. Last month, De Kuyper debuted a canned Peachtree Spritz.
