De Kuyper launches bottled cocktails

Dutch drinks firm De Kuyper Royal Distillers has rolled out five bottled cocktails to the on-trade.

The De Kuyper Batched Cocktails includes flavours: Espresso Martini; Pornstar Martini; Mojito; Strawberry Mojito; and Piña Colada. The ABV of the variants range from 12%-18% ABV, and are available in one-litre bottles. Intially available for bar partners in the Netherlands, the cocktails are made with the brand's liqueurs, including De Kuyper Crème de Café, De Kuyper Wild Strawberry and De Kuyper Passionfruit. “We developed Batched Cocktails with our on-trade partners in mind, partners who want to serve high-quality, great tasting cocktails but don’t always have the time to fully prepare themselves to mix them," explained chief executive officer Mark de Witte. "We didn’t compromise; we put quality first to craft the real deal, as close as possible to the freshly made perfect serve. We tweaked until we had the perfect Espresso Martini or Mojito and used it as a base to develop our five batched cocktails “Being the ‘home of the cocktail', our new initiative perfectly fits with our vision to democratise cocktails and enable everyone to mix and enjoy best tasting cocktails." The new bottlings can be mixed 'without special bartender experience' in less than a minute, with a maximum of one to two ingredients. The bottles contains eight 125ml cocktails for shaking, while the Mojito offerings can make 10 100ml cocktails that can be topped with sparkling water. The label displays mixing instructions, plus a QR code with detailed how-to videos. Last year, the brand tapped the low- and no-alcohol trend with the release of a series of zero-ABV pre-mixed cocktails. Also, it debuted a ‘modern enhancement’ of its Rutte Celery Gin.
