English spirits producer Cotswold Distillery has gained a new listing with UK pub operator Greene King, which will see its whiskies stocked in more than 700 venues.

Greene King will be the first major pub chain to stock Cotswold Distillery’s Single Malt, the distillery’s inaugural whisky release. Calum Cameron, senior category manager at Greene King, said: “We are really excited to be offering this English whisky in our pubs. “English whisky is a new trend that companies are experimenting with and the Cotswolds Distillery has proven itself as a quality brand with excellent products – we’re sure guests who visit our pubs will love it.” The whisky will be available in the chain's 700 pubs across the UK, which includes The Griffin in Leeds, The Drawbridge in Bristol and The Golden Fleece in London. Cotswolds Single Malt Whisky was launched in October 2017. Each bottle lists the barley variety, harvest year and local Cotswolds farm it was grown on. Earlier this year, the English whisky producer released a single malt created from casks owned by the Lord Mayor of London, with proceeds donated to the Lord Mayor’s Appeal charity.
