Campari brings Aperol Spritz to can format
Italy's Campari Group has introduced a canned lower-ABV version of its bottled Aperol Spritz.
Aperol Spritz is now available in 250ml slimline cans with an ABV of 5%. The launch follows last year's UK introduction of the brand's ready-to-serve (RTS) Spritz, available in 200ml bottles at 9% ABV. According to NIQ CGA data from September 2025, the Aperol Spritz is the most popular cocktail served in venues throughout Britain. The new ready-to-drink (RTD) format makes the classic cocktail more accessible to both existing fans and new audiences outside bars and venues. The launch showcases Aperol Spritz's message of 'L'Unico. Per Tutti,' which celebrates its central role in social moments. Best enjoyed chilled and straight from the can, Aperol Spritz To Go captures the apéritif's bittersweet orange flavour, along with herbal notes and a sparkling character, in a convenient format. Featuring the brand's distinctive orange colour palette, the new RTD can showcases the original Barbieri brothers' monogram, honouring the brand's origins that date back to 1919. Andrea Neri, managing director of House of Aperitifs at Campari Group, commented on the launch: "Aperol Spritz has become a symbol of contemporary social style, and this new RTD format opens the door to new moments and places while staying true to the spirit that has defined Aperol for over a century. "We are proud to bring that Aperol DNA and premium quality with the launch of the new format, heralding a new era for the beloved brand." Aperol Spritz To Go is now available with an RRP of £3 (US$4) per can, rolling out in grocery, convenience, and wholesale stores throughout April and May. Additional European markets will follow starting in April 2026. The launch follows the reveal of Aperol's new bottle and label design last month.
