Boë Gin unveils apple and lime flavour

Scottish brand Boë Gin has launched a new flavoured expression across the UK, called Boë Apple and Lime.

The gin is said to have a “tangy” flavour profile to match its bright green hue. Bottled at 41.5% ABV, Boë Apple and Lime will be available to purchase at an RRP of £30 (US$37.50) per 700ml bottle. Carlo Valente, director of Boë Gin, said: “We know that the modern drinker loves to be adventurous with flavours – and this new gin presents the perfect opportunity to get creative. “We dissected the botanicals that were in our gin to see how we could bind the fruit and spice notes with an unusual flavour note in gin – green apples. “After some experimentation, we found that lime citrus was the perfect component to balance the flavours together and top off that stunning green colour. “We’ve heard so many times from our consumers that they prefer gin with something other than tonic and this inspired us to create a modern flavour that would complement a range of mixers.” The new flavour is available now in Tesco supermarket stores throughout Scotland, as well as in select bars and online across the UK via shop.boegin.com. Graham Coull, director of Boë Gin, said: “We have worked well with Tesco for many years. I am delighted that Boë Apple and Lime and Boë Violet Gin are now available in Tesco (Scotland). We are very confident that they will be a hit with consumers.” Boë Gin saw its value and volume sales “more than double” in 2019 as it became the UK’s fastest-growing gin, according to CGA data cited by the brand.
