Blood Oath Trilogy Second Edition to launch
Lux Row Distillers has unveiled a limited edition collection of Bourbons: Blood Oath Trilogy Second Edition.
Only 1,400 sets will be available to purchase from the end of September for an RRP of US$799. Created by Lux Row master distiller John Rempe, the collection comprises Pact 4, Pact 5, and Pact 6. Each expression sits at 49.3% ABV. Rempe said: “I look back on each Pact I’ve created for the Blood Oath Series with a tremendous sense of pride and accomplishment, and with each new Pact I develop, I become more eager to create the next. “The Bourbons I’ve selected to create each Pact are becoming rarer and harder to find, as are the resulting Pacts themselves. “A Blood Oath Trilogy set is like a piece of Bourbon history. I’ll never repeat a blend, so once it’s gone, it’s gone.” Pact 4 is a blend of 12-year-old Bourbon, 10-year-old Bourbon and a nine-year-old Bourbon, which was finished in toasted barrels for seven months. Stablemate Pact 5 comprises a 13-year-old Bourbon, an 11-year-old Bourbon and an eight-year-old Bourbon finished in Caribbean rum barrels. Completing the trilogy is Pact 6, a blend of 14-year-old ryed Bourbon, an eight-year-old ryed Bourbon and a seven-year-old ryed Bourbon finished in Cognac casks. In March this year, Lux Row expanded its Blood Oath range with the launch of Pact 7, an expression finished in Sauternes casks. Luxco is the parent company of Lux Row Distillers, and was established in 1958 by the Lux family. In January this year, third-party spirits producer MGP Ingredients agreed to acquire Luxco for US$475 million.
