Benromach releases Red Door Gin

by Melita Kiely

Scotch whisky producer Benromach Distillery has moved into gin with the launch of a new London Dry style – Red Door Gin.

Bottled at 45% abv, Red Door Gin is said to have notes of juniper and bitter orange, with sea buckthorn, heather and rowanberries. Those interested in knowing more about Red Door Gin’s production process can do so through the distillery’s new visitor experience, which will divulge details of the team behind its creation, the gin's copper pot still, 'Peggy', and how to create "perfect serves" with the expression. Red Door Gin is available to purchase from specialist retailers at an RRP of £30 (US$39). “We’ve been working hard behind the red door to create a gin with a distinctive palate, using the finest botanicals," said David King, sales director at Red Door Gin. “From the classic Red Door G&T to a delicious Negroni or smooth Martini, we are confident that we have created a gin that will prove popular with gin lovers everywhere.” Earlier this year, Benromach revealed plans to extend its warehousing facilities to meet growing global demand.
