Balvenie adds 2003 vintage to Peat Week range

William Grant & Sons has launched a 2003 vintage of The Balvenie Peat Week Aged 14 Years designed to “reimagine” Speyside whisky styles.

Bottled at 48.3% abv, The Balvenie Peat Week Aged 14 Years (2003 Vintage) is available to purchase in the UK, the US, Taiwan, Russia, Sweden, Denmark, France, the Netherlands, Switzerland and Germany at an RRP of £60 (US$81). Non-chill-filtered, The Balvenie Peat Week Aged 14 Years (2003 Vintage) is made entirely from peated barley and follows the launch of the 2002 vintage last year. David Stewart MBE, Balvenie malt master, said: “Much like the 2002 vintage, this 2003 bottling of Peat Week still retains that classic Balvenie house style, with delicate butterscotch honey and creamy vanilla, but with an added layer of gentle sweet peat smoke. “As a malt master it’s hugely important that I can manage our stocks closely, while also being able to innovate and trial flavours not typically associated with The Balvenie. “This 2003 vintage is a prime example of this – a Balvenie presented in an unexpected way, yet still remaining true to the distillery style our enthusiasts enjoy.”
