Angels’ Share launches Bourbon-filled angel

Stirling-based glassware company Angels' Share has launched its first product aimed at the American market, a Bourbon-filled glass angel.

The Scottish glass manufacturer has joined forces with family-owned gift company A Taste of Kentucky for the decorative product. Following a trip to the American Midwest, organised by Scottish Development International and Scottish Enterprise, Angels' Share wanted to create a 'unique' product for the American market. Angels’ Share Glass managing director Karen Somerville said: “It was a fantastic trip and we organised meetings with representatives of different companies where we could showcase our products and see if they were interested in partnering with us. “We actually met the owner of A Taste of Kentucky, John Hassmann, quite by chance after popping into his shop in Louisville to buy some souvenirs just before we flew home." Established by Hassmann more than 30 years ago, A Taste of Kentucky sells products which are locally made or celebrate the best of Kentucky. Hassmann said: “We love it when we find unique high-quality items to offer to our customers across the country. “We were impressed by the unique nature of the Bourbon angels and, of course, the distinct Kentucky connection, plus the fact our customers can buy products which are not available everywhere." Angels’ Share Glass is hoping to make further inroads into the US market following the trade visit. The Bourbon-filled angels are available exclusively from A Taste of Kentucky for US$49.99, and join the Stirling-based company's previously released gin-filled glass pigs and range of gin-filled Christmas baubles.
