The annual event has announced an agreement to return to the Kentucky Center for the Performing Arts next February. From the press release:

Louisville, KY (May 20, 2014) – Following highly successful 2013 and 2014 events, the Bourbon Classic will bring the best of Bourbon back to Louisville in 2015.

Bourbon Classic 2015 will take place at the Kentucky Center for the Performing Arts on Friday, February 20 and Saturday, February 21. Nearly two thousand Bourbon enthusiasts and industry professionals from across the country joined the first two events.

“We always try to put together an experience for those who come to Bourbon Country that they’ll never forget.  With our mixture of Bourbon brands, Master Distillers and nationally known chefs, bartenders and authors, it’s almost impossible to find this type of experience in Bourbon Country for the price of admission,” says co-founder Justin Thompson. “If folks look what we have delivered the last two years, I don’t think they’ll find a Bourbon experience quite like it in an urban setting.”

Highlights of the event include a national cocktail competition, focused on classic and contemporary Bourbon cocktails paired with a chef’s Bourbon-themed culinary complement; a master distillers panel; breakout classes focused on a variety of Bourbon-themed topics; and ample opportunities for the public to sample top brands of Bourbon and Bourbon-inspired products.

The Bourbon Classic was co-founded by Tony Butler of FSA Management Group, an event planning company based in Louisville, and Justin Thompson, Seth Thompson, and Bob Eidson of The Bourbon Review.

“For the third year running, we’re bringing the broader Bourbon experience to enthusiasts all over the nation,” says Tony Butler, co-founder. “From cocktails to culinary executions, this is a unique event that shows how popular, versatile and prolific this spirit really is—and the special role our hometown plays in its heritage.”

Seth Thompson adds, “We couldn’t be more thrilled to be in our third year of Bourbon Classic. This event has blossomed beyond our wildest dreams, and it truly captures the essence of bourbon, the soul of the South, and shows the world that Kentucky is a first class culinary destination. Creating something that marries Kentucky to a very unique lifestyle medium is the achievement of a lifetime to our team.”

The Urban Bourbon Trail is returning as the welcoming sponsor of this event.

Ticket sales for the event are available at bourbonclassic.com.
