From Field to Still: The Craftsmanship of Siembra Valles Blanco Tequila

Siembra Valles Blanco Tequila is a lowland tequila from El Arenal, Jalisco, made in the Tequila category as a crystal-clear blanco that puts pure agave front and center. This special addition to the Siembra line of agave spirits is produced by the Rosales Family at the Cascahuin (“Mountain of Light”) distillery, where traditional methods and hands-on work guide every step.

For over 100 years, the Rosales family has been producing traditional tequilas in one way or another. Since 1956, when they founded their own distillery, they’ve continued to make uncompromising, top-notch spirits that take years of patience, care, and hard labor to bring to life.

Siembra Valles Blanco Tequila is made using only estate-grown agaves coming from two different sources. In the lowlands, the long, hot days and sandy volcanic soils rich in minerals shape the agave in two striking directions: concentrated and sweet in one turn, then earthy, spicy, and mineral-driven in another. Pesticides have never been used on the plants, and at every vital step of the production process, manual methods are employed where possible.

  • Harvesting: piñas are harvested by lead jimador Jose Romero
  • Roasting: cooked in brick ovens by Javier Placensia
  • Milling: handled by 20-year veteran Jose Luis Rojas
  • Fermentation: with bagasse in both the original stone Mamposteria and stainless steel by Adalberto Lopez and Demetrio Torres
  • Distillation: conducted by Master Distiller and family member Salvador Rosales Torres

The bottle itself looks clean and modern, with tall, clear glass that shows off the bright, unaged spirit. The label art highlights the agave fields and the jimador at work—an honest nod to the labor behind every pour—while the green “Siembra Valles” lettering keeps it crisp and easy to spot on a shelf.

Tasting Notes: A Sensory Experience

  • Nose: **agave nectar**, **lavender**, **minerals**, **desert flowers**, with **fresh honey** and a lift of **white pepper**
  • Palate: **sweet baking spice**, **agave-forward richness**, **white pepper**, and a clear, earthy mineral tone that stays “un-obstructed” and direct
  • Finish: **peppery spice**, **floral edges**, and a lingering **mineral** snap that keeps you reaching for another sip

Serving Recommendations & Pairings

  • Best simple pour: Sip neat in a small glass to catch the full agave-and-mineral profile.
  • With water: Add a few drops of water to open up the floral notes like lavender and desert flowers.
  • Cocktail pick: Make a bright Tommy’s Margarita (tequila, fresh lime, agave syrup) to let the agave nectar and white pepper show through.
  • Food pairing: Pair with grilled shrimp tacos topped with lime, cilantro, and a pinch of chile—great with the tequila’s pepper, minerals, and sweet spice.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Siembra Valles Blanco Tequila made in the lowlands or highlands?

It’s a lowland tequila from El Arenal, Jalisco. The hot days and sandy volcanic soils rich in minerals help create a profile that can swing from sweet and concentrated to earthy, spicy, and mineral-driven—classic lowlands character.

What makes this an additive-free tequila option?

This bottle is part of the additive-free tequila conversation because it focuses on traditional production and clear, “un-obstructed” agave flavor rather than covering it up. It’s made with estate-grown agaves, careful roasting in brick ovens, fermentation with bagasse, and hands-on distillation—methods that highlight real agave character.

How does this compare to other silver & blanco tequila styles for cocktails?

As a silver & blanco tequila, it’s unaged and built for clarity: agave nectar, white pepper, sweet baking spice, lavender, minerals, fresh honey, and desert flowers. That clean structure makes it strong in citrus-forward drinks like a Tommy’s Margarita, where you want the tequila to taste like tequila—not like oak or added sweetness.

Why Add Siembra Valles Blanco Tequila to Your Collection?

If you like tequila that tastes honest—agave-first, mineral, peppery, and floral—Siembra Valles Blanco Tequila belongs on your shelf. It’s made with estate-grown agaves, no pesticides, and a fully hands-on process at Cascahuin, guided by the Rosales family and their team from harvest to distillation.

Pour it neat when you want to taste the lowlands, or mix it when you want a Margarita that stays crisp and agave-forward. Add Siembra Valles Blanco Tequila to your cart today and lock in a blanco that’s built on patience, skill, and real field-to-bottle work.
