About Brinley Rum


"Bob Brinley started distilling rum on the island of St. Kitts in 1986, naming his company “Shipwreck” after an actual shipwreck of a British troop transport ship just off St. Kitts in 1782. The sinking of the ship most likely took place during a famous sea-battle when Admiral Rodney defeated the French under DeGrasse.

In 2002, Brinley’s son joined the family business. The Father-Son team now has 30 years experience making. Together they produce a full range of flavored delicious molasses-based rums, including their signature Spiced, Vanilla, Coconut, Mango, Coffee, and unique Coconut Cream varieties.
