Mezcal Alipus showcases traditional, village-made mezcals from Oaxaca. Each bottle reflects a different terroir and palenquero, using agave grown in high-altitude soils and roasted in underground pits. With artisanal production methods and rustic charm, Alipus offers smoky complexity, earthy depth, and a genuine taste of Mexico’s mezcal culture.
Alipus sources mezcal from independent distillers across small Oaxacan villages, each using traditional, labor-intensive processes that honor regional heritage and local agave.
Most Alipus bottlings are made from Espadín agave, though some limited editions feature wild varietals like Tobala or Madrecuixe, each offering unique flavor characteristics.
Alipus emphasizes artisanal production with no industrial shortcuts. Mezcals are double distilled in copper pot stills and crafted in small batches without additives or dilution.
Alipus is ideal for sipping neat to appreciate its smoky, earthy complexity, but also works well in mezcal-forward cocktails like the Naked and Famous or Mezcal Negroni.
Currently, engraving is not available on most Alipus bottles due to artisanal packaging, but gift-ready options and bundles are available for special occasions.
