World of Zing debuts RTDs in paper bottles
Ready-to-drink (RTD) cocktail brand World of Zing has relaunched its range in Frugal Paper Bottles.
World of Zing was founded by Pritesh Mody, a global mixologist and regular cocktail presenter on Channel 4 TV show Sunday Brunch, in 2014. The new bottles are made of a 94% recyclable paperboard outer and use 77% less plastic than a plastic bottle. They are also five times lighter than a glass bottle and require less protective packaging, reducing transport costs and the carbon footprint by six times. The bottles also feature a new design and seasonal flavours including Kaffir Lime ‘Picante’ Margarita, Blood Orange Negroni and Rhubarb Cosmopolitan. The 700ml bottles have ABVs between 15% and 18% and retail for £20-£22 (US$25-US$28). Mody said: “We are thrilled to launch the UK's first range of cocktails available in Frugal Paper Bottles, marking the start of an exciting new chapter for World of Zing. “Since launching in 2014, World of Zing has paved its own successful path with category-redefining pre-batch cocktails that can now be found in some of the UK’s leading retailers and hospitality operators. “With this new bottle, World of Zing is once again disrupting the industry with a packaging format that provides game-changing operational and environmental benefits, as well as creating positive conversations amongst consumers.” World of Zing’s range is served at UK hotels including South Lodge and restaurant groups such as Rosa’s Thai, Cosy Club and Tonkotsu. In 2021, Pernod Ricard launched a paper bottle for its Absolut vodka range.
