Suntory brings yuzu liqueur to US

The House of Suntory has launched Kanáde Yuzu Liqueur in the US, marking its first international market outside of Japan.

Suntory launched its Kanáde line of liqueurs in 2019 with the collection now featuring Yuzu, Matcha, Japanese Cherry Blossom, and Japanese White Peach expressions. Yuzu was the first to launch the series and began its rollout in the US on 1 April. Kanáde Yuzu is bottled at 40% ABV and priced at US$33. On the nose, yuzu zest shines through, balanced by a subtle bitterness. The palate brings vibrant juiciness and subtle herbal undertones. The liqueur is designed to inspire bartenders to express their creativity and craftsmanship through cocktails using authentic Japanese flavours. It is presented with two signature serves, the White Lady, made with Roku gin and lemon juice, and the Martin-ish, which combines Haku vodka and Kanáde Yuzu. Bringing Kanáde Yuzu to the US furthers Suntory’s commitment to expand its Japanese offerings. In May, Suntory brought its ready-to-drink (RTD) brand -196 into the US, introducing a new strawberry variant in the process. According to The Brand Champions 2025 report, -196 was the biggest-selling RTD spirit-based brand last year with case sales of 30.4 million (an increase of 9.4% year on year). Yuzu remains a popular flavour for summertime cocktails, with Kirker Greer Spirits securing a listing for its Ukiyo Yuzu Gin in 210 Co-op grocery stores across the UK last month.
