Pride in London launches fundraising gin

LGBT festival Pride in London has launched a gin, the profits from which will be used to support the London parade.

The newly-launched Pride Gin is produced in small batches and will be available to buy from department store Harvey Nichols and Gerry’s Wine & Spirits. It will also be available by the glass in bars across Soho. The juniper-led London Dry gin is described as having a “crisp, citrus finish” that pairs well with Mediterranean-style or aromatic tonics. Kieron Yates, deputy director of fundraising at Pride in London, said: “We’re incredibly excited to launch Pride Gin as the spirit of the Pride season and can’t wait to raise a glass with everyone at the parade next month. "Profits from each bottle or glass sold go back into keeping Pride in London free for everyone to attend, so supporting the community couldn’t be easier than getting your hands on a bottle and pouring yourself a G&T – or a rainbow cocktail.” Pride Gin is produced and bottled in the UK. It's packaging is fully recyclable, including the label, which is made from sugar. The new bottling is available in 700ml format in-store and online at Gerry’s Wines & Spirits for £25 (US$31) and at Harvey Nichols for £36 (US$45).
