October London launches whiskey

Kentucky-based brand Mr & Mrs Bourbon has teamed up with Grammy-nominated R&B artist October London to create a limited edition whiskey.

Mr & Mrs Bourbon Company (MMBC) was founded by Russ Smith in 2019 and is co-owned by Cecy Linzey. The brand works with multiple distillers across Kentucky and currently owns more than 100,000 barrels. For MMBC's latest collaboration, the company has partnered with two-time Bet Award nominee, four-time Soul Train Music Awards nominee and Grammy-nominated R&B artist Jared Erskine, known professionally as October London. He rose to fame with songs like She Keeps Calling and 3rd Shift and has worked alongside Snoop Dogg and Anderson .Paak. The October London x Mr & Mrs Bourbon is a wheated Bourbon distilled in Kentucky in 2018 and aged for six years. October London commented: “This collaboration represents much more than just a bottle of Bourbon to me. It's about honouring the artistry that goes into both music and Bourbon. Just like in music, the process of creating something as complex and refined as Bourbon is a journey. It’s about blending tradition with innovation, and I’m proud to be part of this with Mr & Mrs Bourbon.” Offered at 100 proof (50% ABV), the expression displays caramel, vanilla, toffee and earthy notes on the palate. The design of the bottle reflects the musician's signature aesthetic, 'blending vintage sophistication with modern flair.' The release of the Bourbon collaboration will coincide with the singer's tour, October Nights, set to launch in spring 2025. The whiskey will be featured prominently at select events and venues across the tour. Smith, CEO and founder of Mr & Mrs Bourbon, said: "This collaboration represents an unparalleled element of style, and October has been involved in every level of this process.” The limited edition whiskey is available exclusively from octobersbourbon.com for US$100 and will be released in retail later in the spring. Bottle reservations are available now, along with custom bundles curated by October, including branded rocks, glasses, candles, and a playlist with unreleased songs.
