Oatrageous debuts dairy-free cream liqueurs
The brand launches with three oat milk-based products this autumn, including the ‘world’s first’ dairy-free Bourbon cream.
A plant-based alternative to cream liqueurs, the Oatrageous line of products is free from dairy, gluten, high-fructose corn syrup, artificial sweeteners, and seed oils. Oatrageous debuts with three products – Coconut, Espresso, and Bourbon Cream – all bottled at 14% ABV. “We couldn’t be more excited to share Oatrageous with the world,” said co-founder JD Recobs. “There are a lot of consumers out there who want to enjoy cream-inspired products but are limited by dietary restrictions, lifestyle choices, or simple taste preferences.” The Oatrageous line is available for US$28 in Florida, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, and Texas. The brand claims to have 30% less sugar than leading cream liqueurs and contains 100 calories per 1.5oz serving. “We are thrilled to be able to open doors for consumers by giving them delicious, dairy-free options that are produced transparently and made with significantly less sugar compared with what is currently available on the market,” said co-founder Chris Buglisi. The Bourbon-based cream liqueur is made with whiskey distilled at Ross & Squibb Distillery, also known as MGP, in Lawrenceburg, Indiana. Oatrageous suggests using its products to create Espresso Martinis, Piña Coladas, White Russians or other classic cocktails that use cream elements. “We aspire to create exceptional products that prioritise both people and the planet,” added co-founder Emily Recobs. “With a commitment to sustainability, we carefully craft every bottle using clean, high-quality ingredients, keeping the environment in mind every step of the way.” Cream-based Baileys was the world's best-selling liqueur in 2023, moving 8.2 million cases, a 6.3% drop from the previous year.
