Kah debuts limited edition bottle
Amber Beverage Group has unveiled a limited edition beaded design for its Kah Extra Añejo Tequila bottles.
Only 600 individually numbered bottles of the specially designed bottles, called Kah Tequila Huichol, are available in the US. Evija Sparane, global brand director for Kah Tequila, said: “The Tequila category is cluttered with many new brands, big and small, all competing for the attention of consumers in different ways. "Amid this category ‘noise’, Kah aims to remain true to its core brand values by proudly displaying its heritage and provenance. Huichol limited edition is a perfect way to express the origins of the fine, hand-crafted liquid: packaging it within what is in effect a series of artworks seems fitting.” Named after the native Mexican tribe who are creating artworks like these, the Huichol bottling is hand-adorned with 22,000 beads. The Tequila is made from 100% Blue Weber agave and clocks in at 40% ABV. The brand said it takes the craftspeople approximately 35 hours to complete the decoration of each bottle. The Huichol people live in the Sierra Madre Occidental mountain range, in the north of Jalisco, near the distillery where Kah is made. The design is based on symbols that reflect the cultural traditions of the Huichol tribe. The bottle designs include a beaded sun, denoting power; a bird, meaning freedom or a messenger of the gods; a lizard, foreteller of the future; the mezcal bloom, deemed to be the plant of life; and the deer, a life guide for humans. The bottle can be purchased from caskers.com. In December 202, British rum producer Rockstar Spirits named Amber Beverage UK as its national distributor. Plus, in October, Amber Beverage entered into a distribution partnership with The Dandurand Group in Canada.
