Jack Daniel’s and Coke cans now in GB
Brown-Forman-owned Jack Daniel’s, and Coca-Cola have officially launched their ready-to-drink (RTD) can in Great Britain.
Combining Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whiskey and Coca-Cola, the RTD debuted in Mexico in November last year. Following its launch in Great Britain, the canned RTD will head to other markets in Europe. Later this year, the product will increase its global footprint by launching in Latin America and Asia. A Coca-Cola Zero Sugar version will also be available in Great Britain. Marshall Farre, EVP, chief strategic growth officer and president Europe, from Brown-Forman, the owner of Jack Daniel’s, said: “We are thrilled that Jack Daniel’s and Coca-Cola RTD is expanding to new markets, delivering the unique taste that was made to set the standard for bar calls around the world to our fans in Europe.” Each 330ml can sits at 5% ABV, and will retail for RRP £2.30 (US$2.85) per can. The packaging aims to incorporate both the Tennessee whiskey's Old No.7 design, and Coca-Cola’s Spencerian script. Nikos Koumettis, president Europe OU, at The Coca-Cola Company, said: “Jack Daniel’s and Coca-Cola RTD was born ready to be a fan-favourite, boldly bringing our flavours together to form this iconic pairing. Both of our brands are inspired by our fans’ endless innovation in mixing the best, to get the best, and we can’t wait for them to give this a try.” The Tennessee whiskey brand boosted Brown-Forman's nine-month net sales to 31 January 2023, which rose by 8%. The firm’s first six months of its 2023 fiscal year (May-October 2022) saw double-digit growth of 11%. In October last year, Brown-Forman unveiled Jack Daniel’s American Single Malt Whiskey, aged in charred white oak barrels and finished in oloroso Sherry casks.
