Global Brands unveils ‘craft distiller-inspired’ sodas

Global Brands-owned Franklin & Sons has launched a new range of "craft distiller-inspired" soft drinks under its Sister’s Soda range.

The Sister’s Soda range has been influenced by “popular flavours used by craft distillers” and will initially launch with three flavoured variants – Guava & Lime, Pomegranate & Hibiscus and Pineapple & Cardamom. Rosie Crossman, brand manager at Franklin & Sons, said: “Sister’s Soda is inspired by Elizabeth Franklin, who pioneered the Franklin & Sons brand alongside her three brothers. We’ve used her ideology to bring flavour discovery and innovation to life. Creating natural sodas which unleash exceptional taste. Delivering on flavour, without compromising on calories.” Sister's Soda's three sparkling waters are low in sugar and made with all-natural ingredients, including fruit extracts and British sugar beet for sweetness. Made with free-from artificial colours, flavours or sweeteners, the Sister's Soda range is packaged in colourful, hand-illustrated 250ml cans that will be available to purchase in Tesco stores in the UK priced at RRP £1.10 (US$1.40) each. Franklin & Sons owner Global Brands recently expanded its portfolio of canned drinks, with the launch of a ready-to-drink cocktail inspired by llamas and a pre-mixed RedLeg Spiced Rum and coke.
