Givinity gin exports to seven markets

Just six weeks after launch, super-premium British gin brand Givinity has announced it has already secured distribution across seven markets.

Speaking to The Spirits Business, Alan Colton, partner at parent company Allure Spirits, confirmed that the brand is or will imminently be available in the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, Italy, Germany, Spain and Andorra. “We’ve only been going six weeks, and we’re already exporting to more countries than some brands that have been going two-to-three years,” Colton said. “People love the fact that we’ve gone outside the box with Givinity from what gin brands are. The look is very different – and I guess we’ve turned that on its head.” Givinity was launched in November 2015 with the aim of holding the same luxury appeal in the gin category as the Chanel brand holds in perfume. The London dry gin is produced in small batched in Cambridgeshire using the “finest” ingredients. It is presented in a Cognac-style decanter printed with 11-carat gold featuring a neck label wrapped with gold aluminum and finished with a gold-plated bottle closure. The launch coincided with insight from research analyst Mintel which found that a third of Britons consumed gin in the past year.
