Cocktail mixer producer Funkin has launched four ready-to-drink (RTD) canned cocktails, each said to replicate freshly shaken mixed drinks.Available from May, the range includes an Espresso Martini, Passionfruit Martini, Amaretto Sour and a Pink Gin Fizz. Each can is infused with nitrogen to create “a creamy foam head and a smooth and velvety mouthfeel”. Ben Anderson, marketing director at Funkin Cocktails, said: “Our product development team has worked tirelessly to ensure that Funkin nitro canned cocktails deliver the best overall drinking experience compared to anything else on the market. “Funkin nitro canned cocktails are perfectly suited to outlets wishing to serve cocktails but don’t have the necessary tools or trained staff. Whether a pub, restaurant, venue or festival, we are making high quality, consistent cocktails accessible to every bartender, everywhere.” Made with real fruit, the Funkin nitro canned cocktail range is packaged in cans that feature "bold colours and quirky icons" to depict the different flavour varietals. The canned Passion Fruit Martini is a blend of passion fruit, vanilla and vodka, while the new Espresso Martini contains cold brew coffee, vanilla and vodka. To make its Amaretto Sour, Funkin combines a blend of juices and Amaretto liqueur, while the Pink Gin Fizz is a combination of juice and London Dry Gin. Packed cases of 12 200ml cans, each expression has an abv of 5%. The launch of Funkin's RTD range follows the brand's unveiling of a range of kegged cocktails for the on-trade in February this year.
