Mexico-based Fraternity Spirits is to expand its Tequila Corralejo brand at the TFWA World Exhibition & Conference with the launch of three ultra-premium expressions.

Made from 100% blue agave, the three skus each focus on different production processes. Corralejo Reposado 1810 is produced using agave from the Bajio-Guanajuato region. After distillation it is aged in oak for 11 months and offers notes of “soft wood, chocolate, vanilla grapefruit, lemon with touches of spice, cinnamon and pepper”. Corralejo Extra Añejo is made using double distillation in copper pot stills and is aged in oak barrels up to 200 litres in size for 36 months. The “full bodied” Tequila is said to offer notes of cinnamon, pepper, cloves, walnut, vanilla, almond and cooked agave notes. Corralejo Silver 1753 using a slow distillation process and is bottled directly from the still. Aromas include “herbs, grapefruit, mint peppermint and lemon” while the mouthfeel is described as silky. Each Tequila is presented in an eye-catching bottle with a glass stopper, with the range retailing from US$150-180. “Premium and ultra-premium products are vital to a brand’s portfolio,” said Raffaele Berardi, Fraternity Spirits CEO. “Having a breadth of price points and quality to offer to our customers is essential to ensure that we have products that suit every location and demographic of traveller.” In addition to the new Tequila line, Fraternity Spirits will also showcase its new Ron Prohibido Gran Reserva release, which is produced using a 15-year solera system. “We are seeing a big demand for rum at the moment,” Berardi continued. “It is definitely catching up with the more traditional spirits such as vodka and whiskey. We wanted to come to Cannes with a rum that would sit well next to our ultra-premium new tequilas, and this does just that. “TFWA World Exhibition is the most important date in our calendar year. Our team works hard all year round to be able to release products that we know are ideal for the travel retail and duty free market. Our portfolio offers a great breath of products, this is something we are very proud of and is what make Fraternity Spirits one of the best in the business.” Fraternity Spirits is exhibiting its range of spirits and liqueurs at the event in the Blue Village, stand G3. The TFWA World Exhibition is taking place at the Palais Des Festivals, Cannes from 2-7 October.
