Barbadian producer Foursquare Distillery has partnered with Wealth Solutions to release a limited edition 12-year-old rum.

Foursquare 12 Years Old is a blend of distillates made using alembic and column distillation, fully matured in ex-Bourbon casks in Barbados and bottled without any added sugar or flavours. Only 600 bottles have been created exclusively for clients of Wealth Solutions. The rum has an ABV of 62%. Richard Seale, owner of the Foursquare Distillery, said: “I am very pleased that this 12-year-old Foursquare has reached the hands of rum connoisseurs who appreciate our work and are able to enjoy the quality of real premium rums. “It is truly motivating to see this group of passionate people who are the true fans of our Barbadian distillery and its profile.” Recently, the four distillers in Barbados have been at loggerheads over the terms of a geographical indication for Barbados Rum. While three distillers, Foursquare, Saint Nicholas Abbey and Mount Gay, have reached an agreement on the definition of Barbados Rum, the West Indies Rum Distillery has called for a more "inclusive, not exclusive" set of regulations.
