Tequila brand Espanita has launched a collection of fruit-flavoured expressions as part of its new Signature Infusions range.

Crafted in small batches, Espanita's Signature Infusions range features three distinct recipes of 100% Blue agave blanco Tequila infused with Mexican-grown lime, pineapple, and grapefruit. "Our Signature Infusions edition reflects the adventurous side of our valued traditions at Espanita. While we are devoted to the refined and classic tastes in our Tequila, we consistently aim to bring new and fearless flavours to our consumers," said Marina Wilson, president and founder of Espanita Tequila. “We're very excited about the first Signature Infusions and anticipate continuing our innovation of tried-and-true Tequilas. Through new recipes, our team will deliver the best of our creative, daring expressions to Blue agave fans." Espanita Grapefruit, Espanita Pineapple and Espanita Lime are each derived from original recipes developed by Wilson and Espanita’s master distiller, Beto Ramirez. Together they spent a year experimenting to find the ‘perfect proportions’ of natural ingredients and maceration techniques to deliver a spirit with the ‘authentic taste’ of natural, freshly picked fruit while guaranteeing the innate, heady aromas of the slow roasted Blue agave remain. The brand's blanco Tequila forms the base of the Signature Infusions line. To create each expression, the Mexican-grown fruit is macerated in high-proof Tequila for at least 45 days, before the infusions are blended, chill-filtered, and bottled at 35% ABV. Espanita Lime Tequila is said to perfectly balance the ‘succulent juiciness’ of the Tequila with the crispy zest of a freshly peeled lime from Mexico, while Espanita Grapefruit Tequila is described as a true testament as to why grapefruit juice remains a favourite Tequila companion in popular mixed drinks. Finally, Espanita Pineapple showcases the ‘delectable juicy sweetness’ of a perfectly ripened pineapple, and is recommended served chilled or on the rocks, or used in a multitude of pineapple-based cocktails. In January, the brand launched a double barrel-aged Tequila.
