Edinburgh Gin reveals new full-strength flavours

Ian Macleod Distillers has unveiled two new full-strength flavours for Edinburgh Gin: Gooseberry and Elderflower, and Raspberry.

Edinburgh Gin Gooseberry and Elderflower Gin is said to be “tangy” with flavours of tart gooseberries and sweet elderflower to complement the juniper-forward London Dry gin base. Edinburgh Gin Raspberry Gin is a full-strength iteration of the brand’s raspberry gin liqueur. It is distilled with five traditional gin botanicals, along with fresh raspberries and raspberry leaves. Both expressions have been bottled at 40% ABV and will retail for RRP £28 (US$37) per 700ml. The raspberry-flavoured gin is available in the UK from today (9 March), while the gooseberry and elderflower expression will go on sale from 13 March. Neil Mowat, UK marketing director of Edinburgh Gin owner Ian Macleod Distillers, said: “2019 was a big year for Edinburgh Gin as we established ourselves within the premium full-strength flavoured gin category. “We’re looking to continue this progress in 2020 with the launch of our sophisticated full-strength Gooseberry and Elderflower, and Raspberry products that are perfect for the warmer months. “The new products reflect our commitment to explore the best ingredients and most wonderful flavour combinations, particularly as the flavoured gin category continues to grow. “Whether it’s in new product development or our ‘Filled with Wonder’ brand campaign, Edinburgh Gin is committed to investing in its future.”
