Douglas Laing & Co is continuing its 70th anniversary celebrations with the launch of a blend that contains liquid from all of Scotland’s whisky regions.

The Remarkable Regional Malts – with a Twist bottling includes whisky from the Lowlands, Highlands, Islands, Speyside and Campbeltown, representing the different expressions within the Remarkable Regional Malts range. The blend, of which 5,000 bottles have been released, carries an age statement of 10 years and has been bottled at 48% abv. Each bottle is individually numbered and the packaging includes a gift tube with rotating panels showing the different characters in the Remarkable Regional Malts range. “Our 70th anniversary has been a big occasion for us and one we continue to enjoy celebrating,” said Douglas Laing & Co chairman Fred Laing. “This latest limited edition reflects very much our focus and philosophy to release excellent, artisan Scotch whiskies expressing some humour in the process, whilst not taking ourselves too seriously. After all, aligned to quality, Scotch whisky should be fun.” The Remarkable Regional Malts – with a Twist has an RRP of £59.99 (US$78) and is available now. It is one of a number of launches to commemorate Douglas Laing’s 70th anniversary, including a six-year-old Caol Ila and a 25-year-old Glen Garioch, a 40-year-old Port Dundas grain whisky, and a limited edition iteration of its Scallywag brand, among others.
