Halewood Artisanal Spirits owned Dead Man’s Fingers has added a vanilla expression to its ‘unconventional’ spiced rum portfolio.

The latest addition to the brand’s line-up is said to boast notes of 'smooth, sweet, creamy vanilla', paired with rich butterscotch. In a first for the brand, the new vanilla variant is presented in a clear bottle to enable to colour of the 35% ABV liquid to ‘shine through’. The distinctive Dead Man’s Fingers logo also stands out in a bold new gold and yellow colour-way. Rachel Adams, global marketing director, Halewood Artisanal Spirits, commented: “Vanilla is a deliciously indulgent flavour that of course has strong associations with rum. We really wanted to dial that up for our newest launch, creating a really luxurious tasting liquid which pairs perfectly with cola and mixes well into cocktails. “We’re also excited to unveil the new clear bottle design, which not only guarantees strong stand out on shelf, but is also made using increased volumes of recycled glass.” Dead Man’s Fingers Vanilla Rum is available to order now, and will be rolled out into Asda stores across the UK from mid-May for RRP £28 (US$35.19). Dead Man's Fingers unveiled a 0% ABV rum at the end of last year. In addition, the brand moved into Tequila for the first time last spring, launching a reposado expression aged in Bourbon barrels. Halewood operates a number of artisanal distilleries worldwide, including: Aber Falls Distillery, north Wales; Bankhall Distillery, Blackpool; City of London Distillery; Crabbie Distillery, Edinburgh; The Bristol & Bath Rum Distillery; and the Liverpool Gin Distillery.
