Curatif introduces Limoncello Sour RTS

Australian ready-to-drink (RTD) cocktail producer Curatif has expanded its range with Limoncello Sour, made with Victorian lemons.

The new cocktail heralds the arrival of Australian spring, offering vibrant flavours of zesty lemons and a hint of sherbet. At the heart of the Limoncello Sour lies Tommy’s Limoncello, a liqueur made from Victorian lemons using a family recipe. Crafted in the heart of Brunswick, the liqueur offers a delicate balance between tart citrus and sweetness, 'capturing the timeless charm of Italy while reflecting Melbourne’s modern spirit'. Curatif’s Limoncello Sour is inspired by Melbourne’s rich food and beverage scene. Each element of the cocktail, from the Brunswick-distilled spirit to Victorian lemon peels, is said to reflect a commitment to local craftsmanship. "There’s a certain timelessness to limoncello which makes it both nostalgic and trendy all at once; there’s a reason we’re seeing a huge revival of this simple – often homemade – liqueur,” said Matt Sanger, MD of Curatif. “As we enter the warmer seasons, cocktail palates change, and so we’re seeing consumers opting for light and approachable offerings, with our Limoncello Sour ticking all of the boxes.” Launched on International Canned Cocktail Day on 10 September, Limoncello Sour is offered at 13% ABV and is only available on Curatif's website. The limited edition is available in a four-pack, retailing for AU$45 (€28/US$30) and 24-packs for AU$230 (€150/US$155). Earlier this year, Curatif launched a canned Piña Colada cocktail. Curatif was established in June 2019 and specialises in pre-mixed canned cocktails. Two years after its launch, the company gained an AU$2.5 million (US$1.9m) investment from Endeavour Group. At the upcoming The Spirits Business Awards 2024, Curatif is a nominee in the Speciality (Low & No /Liqueurs / Pre-Mixed / Other) category.
