Crystal Head bottle marks Pride month
Canadian vodka brand Crystal Head has launched a limited edition bottle in celebration of Pride month.
The Paint Your Pride bottle displays a colourful, paint-splattered design against a white bottle to 'artistically' house Crystal Head's original Canadian corn-based vodka. The bottle also integrates additional colours to represent people of colour, transgender, non-binary, intersex, and those across the gender spectrum. The limited edition vessel has been created in partnership with Kaleidoscope Trust, an international LGBTQIA+ human rights charity founded in 2011. It is led by executive director Phyll Opoku Gyimah, and addresses the subjugation, persecution, and discrimination of LGBTQIA+ people worldwide. Founder Dan Aykroyd said: "We are proud supporters of the LGBTQIA+ community with continuous global efforts throughout the year. We are fortunate for our partnership and all the impactful work that Lady Phyll and Kaleidoscope Trust do for the community." The 2023 Pride bottle launch follows the success of the brand's rainbow bottle launched in 2020, and magnum launch in 2021. The Paint Your Pride bottle launched exclusively online and in stores with Harvey Nichols on 23 May, and will be rolled out across the UK through distributor Cask Liquid Marketing from 1 June. Each 700ml bottle is priced at £60 (US$74.44), and Crystal Head Vodka has pledged to donate a percentage of all sales from the Paint Your Pride bottle to the Kaleidoscope Trust. Opoku Gyimah said: "The support of Crystal Head Vodka, in collaboration with their limited edition Pride bottle release, allows us to continue funding successful projects and sends an important message: the pressing LGBTQIA+ human rights challenges of our day can be solved through collaboration, whether that be with grassroots or international human rights organisations, governments and funding bodies – or companies that care, like Crystal Head vodka." The brand said this collaboration highlights its dedication to supporting the community and fostering positive change. In December, Crystal Head teamed up with British fashion designer and bespoke tailor Joshua Kane to release three limited edition luxury bottle casings. Earlier this month, the brand launched the 2023 edition of its Creative Spirit Challenge in the UK after a four-year hiatus.
