Clan Denny overhauls brand identity with redesign
Douglas McGibbon and Company has rebranded its Clan Denny single malt and single grain Scotch whiskies, with a focus on the themes of time and origins.
The new packaging coincides with the 70th anniversary since Douglas McGibbon & Co – sister company to independent bottler Douglas Laing – was founded. The ranges include nine Clan Denny single malts bottled at 48% abv and five single grain whiskies bottled at 50% abv, including Auchentoshan 16 Years Old, Glengoyne 20 Years Old, Craigellachie 21 Years Old, Bowmore 15 Years Old and Port Dundas 28 Years Old. The new bottle designs are available from specialist whisky retailers around the world. ‘We believe whiskies and people are similar in many ways, and that both time and our surroundings have a huge impact on character,’ commented Fred Laing, Douglas McGibbon managing director and second generation in the Douglas McGibbon family business. ‘This is a fascinating theme explored in our Clan Denny Single Cask collection, encouraging consumers to reflect on the journey their Scotch whisky has travelled, and the people who have influenced its character along the way.’
